What's in each edition

Content Standard Ultimate
Grand Theft Auto VI Yes Yes
Vintage Vice City Pack (pre-order or buy before Nov 20, 2026) Yes Yes
One month of GTA+ (digital pre-orders only) Yes Yes
7-day digital preload Yes Yes
Ultimate Edition Upgrade: exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel and story-linked content No Yes

Rockstar describes the Ultimate content as a set of premium vehicles, weapons and apparel plus "action" tied to Jason and Lucia's story. It hasn't published an item-by-item list.

Pre-order bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack

Anyone who pre-orders or buys the game before November 20, 2026 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, a retro-themed cosmetic bundle. It applies to both editions, digital and physical.

The free month of GTA+: watch the auto-renewal

Digital pre-orders of either edition made before November 20 can claim one month of GTA+ at no extra cost. From the PlayStation Store terms:

  • You need to claim it by March 31, 2027.
  • It turns into a paid, auto-renewing subscription unless you cancel before the next billing date.
  • GTA+ covers GTA Online perks and a games library that includes GTA V and other Rockstar classics.

Does the physical edition come with a disc?

No. Rockstar says the boxed version contains a download code. Boxes hit stores on November 12, 2026, and the code lets you preload.

Can you upgrade from Standard to Ultimate later?

The PlayStation Store already lists an "Ultimate Edition Upgrade" add-on, but it's marked as unavailable with no price. It looks like it will be sold separately at some point; there's no official date or price yet.

Standard or Ultimate? Our take

  • Standard if you're here for the story. It's the same game; the extra $20 only buys bonus content.
  • Ultimate if you love cosmetic extras and plan to sink a lot of hours into Leonida.
  • Digital vs boxed: since the box only holds a code, physical mainly makes sense as a gift or if a retailer discounts it.
